Message from the 2026 Haas Technical Educator Council
HTEC educators, do you have a CNC machining related project, pedagogy, or research topic you would like to share with your fellow instructors at this year’s HTEC national conference? If so, the council would like to hear from you! The HTEC Council has officially opened the Call for Presentations for this year’s HTEC National Conference educator led breakout sessions. This year’s conference will be hosted by Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama, July 27-30. 2026. If you wish to be part of the 2026 HTEC conference proceedings and present your work during an educator led breakout session, the council needs the google form submission and abstract submitted by the deadline of Friday, May 1st.
Please, be sure your abstract includes the pertinent CNC topics, learning objectives, and required hardware needed to perform your breakout session. After the submission deadline, the council will compile, review, and select the breakout sessions which best align with the topics our HTEC members have requested during previous year’s post conference survey.
These topics include, but are not limited to, introductory machining projects, intermediate and advanced machining projects, multi-axis hardware and software applications, macro programming, machine tending robots, student machining competitions, CAD design, probing, and other inspection techniques. Educators are also interested in fundraising, grant writing, and methods to increase enrollment/diversity. With the addition of the Grant Development group, on the council, proposals from non-educators will be accepted in these areas. Thank you in advance for helping us continue to support Manufacturing Educators.
We hope to see you this summer in Alabama!
